বাংলাদেশে নারী নির্যাতন অহরহ ঘটনা হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে

একদিনে বাংলাদেশের অবস্থাঃ 

 যৌতুক না পেয়ে গৃহবধূকে নির্যাতন:

পটুয়াখালীর বাউফলে যৌতুক না পেয়ে নার্গিস বেগম (২৮) নামের এক গৃহবধূকে তাঁর স্বামী ও শ্বশুরবাড়ির লোকজন নির্যাতন করেছে বলে অভিযোগ পাওয়া গেছে। উপজেলার খেজুরবাড়িয়া গ্রামে গত সোমবার এ ঘটনা ঘটে।
স্থানীয় ও পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা গেছে, ওই গ্রামের মৃত কাঞ্চন আলী খলিফার ছেলে খলিলুর রহমানের সঙ্গে ২০০১ সালে তাতেরকাঠি গ্রামের মৃত রত্তন আলী মৃধার মেয়ে নার্গিস বেগমের বিয়ে হয়। নার্গিসের বড় ভাই মোসলেম উদ্দিন বিয়ের সময় ভগ্নিপতিকে নগদ টাকা, স্বর্ণালংকার, আসবাবসহ লক্ষাধিক টাকার মালামাল দেন। গত সোমবার নার্গিসের কাছে এক লাখ টাকা যৌতুক দাবি করেন খলিল। কিন্তু টাকা দিতে রাজি না হওয়ায় খলিলসহ কয়েকজন নার্গিসকে মারধর শুরু করেন। একপর্যায়ে তাঁরা হাতুড়ি দিয়ে পিটিয়ে তাঁর শরীরের বিভিন্ন অংশ থেঁতলে দেন।
সন্ধ্যা সাতটার দিকে খবর পেয়ে নার্গিসের ভাগনে রুহুল আমীন বাউফল থানা থেকে পুলিশ নিয়ে ওই বাড়ি থেকে তাঁকে অজ্ঞান অবস্থায় উদ্ধার করে বাউফল উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে ভর্তি করেন।
এ বিষয়ে খলিলুর রহমানের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগের চেষ্টা করেও কথা বলা সম্ভব হয়নি। বাউফল থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) নরেশ চন্দ্র কর্মকার বলেন, এ ঘটনায় নার্গিস বেগম গত মঙ্গলবার থানায় লিখিত অভিযোগ দিয়েছেন। বিষয়টি তদন্ত করে আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে।

প্রেমের প্রস্তাবে রাজি না হওয়ায় কলেজছাত্রী ও মাকে মারধর:

প্রেমের প্রস্তাব প্রত্যাখ্যান করায় বাড়িতে গিয়ে কলেজছাত্রী ও তাঁর মাকে মারধর করেছেন এক তরুণ। সিলেটের জৈন্তাপুর উপজেলার নিজপাট ইউনিয়নের ঘিলাতৈল গ্রামে গত সোমবার এ ঘটনা ঘটে। চিকিৎসা নিয়ে ফেরার পর ওই কলেজছাত্রী গতকাল বুধবার সকালে আবার অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়লে তাঁকে উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে ভর্তি করা হয়।
পুলিশ ও এলাকাবাসীর অনেকে জানান, জৈন্তাপুরের স্থানীয় কলেজের এক ছাত্রীকে ঘিলাতৈল গ্রামের মোহাম্মদ শাহজাহান প্রায়ই উত্ত্যক্ত করেন। কলেজ বন্ধ থাকায় গত সোমবার তিনি ওই ছাত্রীর বাড়িতে যান। বাড়িতে গিয়ে ছাত্রীর মায়ের কাছে বিয়ের প্রস্তাব দেন। এতে মা ক্ষিপ্ত হয়ে উঠলে শাহজাহান মাকে ধাক্কা মেরে মাটিতে ফেলে দেন। এ সময় কলেজছাত্রীকে মারধর করেন শাহজাহান। পরে তাঁদের চিৎকারে প্রতিবেশীরা এগিয়ে এলে শাহজাহান তাঁদের বাড়ি থেকে উচ্ছেদের হুমকি দিয়ে চলে যান। প্রতিবেশীরা আহত মা ও মেয়েকে জৈন্তাপুর উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে ভর্তি করেন।
উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্স থেকে জানা যায়, মা ও মেয়ের শরীরের বিভিন্ন জায়গায় জখম পাওয়া গেছে। দুই দিন ভর্তি রেখে চিকিৎসা দিয়ে মঙ্গলবার বিকেলে তাঁদের ছেড়ে দেওয়া হয়। কিন্তু গতকাল বুধবার সকালে কলেজছাত্রী আবার অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়লে তাঁকে ফের হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়। 

গৃহবধূর লাশ উদ্ধার, স্বামী পলাতক:

কিশোরগঞ্জের নীলগঞ্জ সড়কের একটি বাড়ি থেকে গতকাল বুধবার হাত-পা বাঁধা অবস্থায় সুবর্ণা আক্তার (২৫) নামের এক গৃহবধূর লাশ উদ্ধার করেছে পুলিশ। ঘটনার পর থেকে তাঁর স্বামী পরিচয়দানকারী পাভেল রহমান পলাতক রয়েছেন।
পুলিশ জানায়, সকালে প্রতিবেশীরা ঘরের দরজা খোলা দেখে সুবর্ণার লাশ দেখতে পেয়ে পুলিশে খবর দেন। এ সময় গৃহবধূর দুই হাত পেছন দিকে খাটের পায়ার সঙ্গে বাঁধা ছিল। এ ছাড়া মুখও বাঁধা অবস্থায় ছিল। পরে পুলিশ এসে তাঁর লাশ উদ্ধার করে।

ধরমপাশায় ছাত্রীকে ধর্ষণের অভিযোগ:

সুনামগঞ্জের ধরমপাশা উপজেলায় অষ্টম শ্রেণীর এক ছাত্রী (১৪) গত মঙ্গলবার রাতে ধর্ষণের শিকার হয়েছে বলে অভিযোগ পাওয়া গেছে। এ ঘটনায় ওই ছাত্রী বাদী হয়ে উপজেলার জয়শ্রী ইউনিয়নের একজনসহ অজ্ঞাতনামা আরও দুজনকে আসামি করে গতকাল বুধবার বিকেলে থানায় মামলা করেছে।
মামলার অভিযোগ ও পুলিশের কাছ থেকে জানা গেছে, ওই ছাত্রী গত মঙ্গলবার রাত নয়টার দিকে পাশের বাড়ি থেকে ফেরার পথে ওত পেতে থাকা তিন যুবক তাকে বাড়ির অদূরে এক হাওরে নিয়ে যান। মেয়েটি চলে আসার চেষ্টা করলে তাকে মেরে ফেলার হুমকি দেওয়া হয়। এ সময় ওই ছাত্রী একাধিকবার ধর্ষণের শিকার হয়। পরে তাকে অচেতন অবস্থায় ফেলে রেখে তাঁরা পালিয়ে যান। ভোরে জ্ঞান ফিরে এলে বাড়িতে এসে তার পরিবারের লোকজনকে ঘটনাটি জানায়। পরে স্থানীয়দের সহযোগিতায় গতকাল বুধবার থানায় এসে অভিযোগ করে ওই ছাত্রী।
অভিযুক্ত ওই যুবকের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করা সম্ভব হয়নি। তবে ওই যুবকের বাবা ইউপি সদস্য আবদুর রহিম মুঠোফোনে বলেন, ‘আমার ছেলে এ ঘটনায় জড়িত থাকলে তার শাস্তি হোক।’
ধরমপাশা থানার ওসি বায়েছ আলম বলেন, এ ঘটনায় একজনের নাম উল্লেখ করে অজ্ঞাতনামা আরও দুজনকে আসামি করে নারী নির্যাতন দমন আইনে মামলা হয়েছে। আসামিদের গ্রেপ্তারের চেষ্টা চলছে। ডাক্তারি পরীক্ষার জন্য মেয়েটিকে সুনামগঞ্জ আধুনিক সদর হাসপাতালে পাঠানো হয়েছে।

Park sworn in as South Korean president

 Park Geun-hye promised a tough stance on national security and an era of economic revival as she was sworn in as South Korea's president. Park, who defeated liberal rival Moon Jae-in in December's general election, took the oath of office in front of tens of thousands of people.

North Korea's recent nuclear test posed a "challenge to the survival" of the Korean people, she said.

Trust-building was needed to tackle the "extremely serious" security situation. Park, the first woman to lead South Korea, succeeds President Lee Myung-bak, of the same Saenuri Party, who stepped down as the law required after a five-year term. The 61-year-old is the daughter of former military strongman Park Chung-hee, who ruled South Korea for almost two decades.

She takes office amid high tensions on the Korean peninsula in the wake of North Korea's third nuclear test, on 12 February.

'Step-by-step engagement'

In her inauguration speech, Park said she would "not tolerate any action that threatens the lives of our people and the security of our nation". "North Korea's recent nuclear test is a challenge to the survival and future of the Korean people, and there should be no mistake that the biggest victim will be none other than North Korea itself." Calling on North Korea to abandon its nuclear ambitions, she said that in a challenging security environment South Korea could not "afford to remain where we are". A trust-building process was needed, she said, promising to move forward "step-by-step on the basis of credible deterrence". "Trust can be built through dialogue and by honouring promises that have already been made. It is my hope that North Korea will abide by international norms and make the right choice so that the trust-building process on the Korean Peninsula can move forward," she said.

On the economy, Park promised more focus on a "creative economy" founded in "economic democratisation" that would expand beyond the traditional manufacturing sector. Policies would be brought in to help small and medium-sized enterprises flourish, she said. "By rooting out various unfair practices and rectifying the misguided habits of the past... we will provide active support to ensure that everyone can live up to their fullest potential," she added, in an apparent nod to resentment towards the country's giant "chaebol" conglomerates. And Park also promised a "clean, transparent and competent government". "I will endeavour to shed popular distrust of government and strive to elevate the capital of trust," she said.

International Mother Language Day

   - Hello everybody, International Mother Language Day is an observance held annually on 21 February worldwide to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism. In the day of 21st February of 1952, when a group of students sought to storm in the area of Dhaka University defending the Bangla language for ourselves and for future generation, police opened fire and killed a number of students, including Abdus Salam, Rafiq Uddin Ahmed, Abul Barkat and Abdul Jabbar.

We remember our martyrs from the very deep of our heart. We are proud that we had our golden boys who sacrificed their life for our mother language and that's why people around the world could know about the nation and they respectfully remember our boys, our language, our people and our nation in this day of 21st February.

Although we always do not follow the above procedure to complete a research work or do not present reports over research, but our objectives and tasks of research  about women mean the same. The steps generally represent the overall process, however they should be viewed as an ever-changing process rather than a fixed set of steps.

The system of our communication empower women of different grounds from urban to rural life and make them conscious about their own problems related with society and they can take actions as necessity demands as well as support themselves.

Basically social and economic crisis of women in the sense of individuality of developed or underdeveloped countries are out of focus always. Mamata briefs young leaders on her success

Kolkata  :  Virtually donning the robe of a teacher, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee Monday dictated a list of her government’s successes to student leaders of her party, asking them to memorise it. Telling them to take the message to the masses, she warned that she would conduct a test to check their grasping power. Didi, as Banerjee is popularly known, asked the young leaders to collect copies of her new Bengali book “Ek palake, ek jhalake” in which she has given details of her government’s performance.

 

“Take down what I am saying. You must learn by heart the success stories of our government. You have to reach out to the people and tell them all these,” she said at a workshop. “A one-sided propaganda campaign is going on against us. You have to get all these people clean bowled,” she said at the Netaji Indoor Stadium.

When she noticed some audience were not taking down notes, she said: “You are not writing. I will test your memory, remember.”She asked them go from door to door ahead of the panchayat polls to convey the party’s message.

‘Rituraj Bashonto’

Bangladesh is a country of colourful fairs and festivals. In our Bangladesh the Spring season begins after the end of Winter & stays for two months [Falgun and Chaitra]. A colorful festival is held to welcome Bashanto. Attired in reddish-yellow saris with red border and hairs decorated with flowers, young women and girls as well as young men and boys in traditional pajama and punjabi, carrying flowers, took part in the colorful march. A good number of kids also got their attractive faces painted with different motifs including birds, national flag, butterflies etc. Pahela Falgun is celebrated on February 13. It is called the ‘Rituraj Bashonto’.

শাকিরা: ‘গরিব হয়ে জন্ম নিলে গরিব হয়েই মরতে হয়’

পপগায়িকা শাকিরার খ্যাতি বিশ্বজুড়ে। শুধু সংগীতশিল্পী হিসেবেই নন, গানের সঙ্গে নাচের উপস্থাপন তাঁর খ্যাতি বাড়িয়েছে বহু গুণে। জগদ্বিখ্যাত এই গায়িকা ১৯৭৭ সালের ২ ফেব্রুয়ারি কলম্বিয়ায় জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। ২০১১ সালের ২৭ ফেব্রুয়ারি হার্ভার্ড বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে তিনি এই বক্তব্য দেন।

সবাইকে ধন্যবাদ এই অসাধারণ, উষ্ণ অভ্যর্থনার জন্য। আমি ১৫ বছর বয়সে স্কুলের পড়াশোনা চুকিয়ে ফেলি। তারপর ক্যালিফোর্নিয়া বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ইতিহাসের ওপর একটি কোর্স করা ছাড়া আর কখনো ক্লাসরুমের দিকে পা বাড়ানো হয়নি। তাই আজ হার্ভার্ডের সীমানায় পা রেখেই মাকে ফোন করলাম, ‘আমি হার্ভার্ডে এসেছি মা!’ মাত্র এক দিনের জন্য, তা-ই বা কম কী!
আমার জন্ম হয়েছে উন্নয়নশীল একটি দেশে। দুঃখের বিষয় হচ্ছে, লাখ লাখ শিশু তাদের শৈশব পার হতে না-হতেই দারিদ্র্যের দুষ্টচক্রে আটকে যায় আর বাকি জীবনটা এভাবেই কাটিয়ে দেয়। আমি যখন দক্ষিণ আমেরিকার কলম্বিয়ায় বেড়ে উঠছিলাম, তখন এ সবকিছুই আমি নিজের চোখে দেখেছি। আমি ধরে নিয়েছিলাম—যা কি না সমগ্র উন্নয়নশীল বিশ্বের অধিকাংশ মানুষের ধারণা, যদি কেউ গরিব হয়ে জন্ম নেয়, তবে তাকে গরিব হয়েই মরতে হবে।
আমার চোখে স্পষ্ট ভেসে ওঠে কলম্বিয়ার বারানকিইয়ায় বেড়ে ওঠার দিনগুলোর কথা। আমি অসম্ভব মেধাবী ও প্রতিভাবান অনেক শিশু-কিশোরকে দেখেছি। কিন্তু তারা থাকত রাস্তায়, ভবিষ্যৎ নিয়ে তাদের কোনো আশা ছিল না। আসলে, তাদের জীবনে ভবিষ্যৎ বলে আদৌ কিছু ছিল না! ছোটবেলায় এসব দেখে আমার যত না মন খারাপের হতো, তার চেয়েও বেশি হতো রাগ। পরে বুঝতে পেরেছি, এসব সমস্যার সমাধান আছে। দৃঢ় বিশ্বাস নিয়ে চেষ্টা করলে ভাগ্য বদলানো সম্ভব। পৃথিবীজুড়ে সবার জন্য শিক্ষা নিশ্চিত করা কঠিন হবে, বিশেষত রাজনৈতিক নেতাদের প্রভাবিত করা ও সংস্কৃতিকে ঢেলে সাজানো। কিন্তু তা অসম্ভব নয়।
এসো, সাহসে বুক বেঁধে এগিয়ে যাই। আমাদের আইডিয়া আছে, বুদ্ধি আছে, জনবল আছে। সরকারের সম্পদ আছে আর তরুণদের উদ্দীপনা আছে। আমরাই পারব।

The past four decades have seen increased political empowerment for women, better job prospects, improved education and the adoption of new laws to protect their rights. Despite all of this, however, issues like domestic violence, acid burning and rape still persist.

Deprived Women in Bangladesh

Changes in land-population patterns in rural areas are having an impact on gender relations
and on the position of women throughout Bangladesh.
 

First, the continuing fragmentation of holdings is leading to fewer households being constituted in the form of the extended family. This is associated with a loss of security for women from the family network and with reduction in the scope for sharing household tasks. Concurrently, women’s normative entitlements to social support beyond the family are weakening. Thus women are becoming more vulnerable to extreme poverty and destitution.

Second, women’s work possibilities outside the homestead have declined: The increase
observed in women’s involvement in field wage labour is outweighed by technological
displacement of paddy husking, rice milling and other work. Inside the household, women’s
work is of increasingly low productivity among the poorest deciles as the asset base of more
households declines.

The recent rise of the (unIslamic) dowry based marriage system is a manifestation of these changes. It signifies that women are increasingly seen as an economic burden by both ‘wife-giving and ‘wife-receiving’ families. It also contributes to further rural differentiation: richer families are able to profit from loaning dowry money to poorer households and claim their assets on default.

Growing numbers of the rural poor are therefore migrating to urban slums. Urban poverty,
particularly of female-headed households, deserves much more analytical and policy
attention, even though it runs counter to the main thrust of Government policy to reduce
rural-urban migration. In urban settings, women are in a no-win situation. Household prosperity enables men to put their women into purdah and claim social credit thereby, but where household poverty and distress drive women to seek outside wage employment, it is they who suffer social opprobrium and loss of status, because it involves the breaking of purdah. The intensification of Islamist forces exacerbates this problem.

Lucky @ Sharmeen (18) became victim of fraudulent conversion roaming in the street due to delusive marriage. Lucky facing continuous atrocities on her life from her Muslim husband and his family, on the other hand she was outcaste by Hindu family because she married Muslim. There is no way open for her only suicide. Lucky described her sorrowful events with grief and anger at the Press Club in Khulna recently.

Lucky informed press that there was acquaintance with Shahidul Mollah (24) son of Abdus Sattar while she was student of Shealipara Vocational Institute at Rupsha Sub District of Khulna District in the year, 2007. The cunning Shahidul Mollah introduced her as Hindu name Emon Biswas son of Ratan Biswas. Sometimes past there established love affairs between them. Since after one year Shahidul Mollah reintroduced her as Muslim and proposed Lucky to become Muslim for marry. There was at that material time Lucky had no other alternative or return back rather than conceding to his trap in a tricky game.

Lucky Chakladar (Real name) on 31 May, 2009 made an affidavit of marriage with Shahidul Mollah before the Notary Public of Khulna and embraced Islam. On the contrary Sarat Chandra Chakladar – father of victim boycotted and outcast Lucky Chakladar because of her conversion to Islam.

Soon after such marriage of two months Shahidul Mollah and his family members started physical torture and oppression upon Lucky for dowry. At one stage Lucky tried to commit suicide due to unbearable physical torture on her.

Lucky having been physically and mentally tortured by husband, father-in-law, mother-in-law of her joint family, filed a complaint (FIR) in the Court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate –Khulna against husband, father-in-law, mother-in-law and brother-in-law for alleged offences, but of no use.

As a result atrocities against Lucky started in full swing and she registered general diary entry at Sonadanga Police station on 5th August, 5th October and 20th October, 09 respectively for her protection and security.

She also made appeal to Women’s’ Lawyers Association ( Mohila Ainjibi Samitee) for her legal help, but she did not receive any legal assistance and remedy there from.

The local influential also failed to negotiate and settle this matter amicably between them through arbitration.

Bangladeshi women into journalism profession

Since journalism is considered a challenging job, few Bangladeshi women have ventured to join it over the past few years. Lately, however, a significant number of Bangladeshi women has been getting involved in journalism, especially in reporting. By doing so, they can now contribute to information dissemination and thus help in shaping public opinion and in changing people's social values and attitudes. The number of female journalists is on the rise in Bangladesh as a result of the growing number of print and electronic media outlets. But they are still negligible in number compared with male journalists. 

In Bangladesh, currently there are 35 TV channels and 11 FM radio stations along with dozens of newspapers. "I think women can get into any kind of challenging job like journalism alongside men. And women are doing well," said Tania Rahman, who became a broadcast journalist more than five years ago. Rahman, a senior reporter of privately-owned 24-hour TV news Channel 71, said, "I find my working environment satisfactory and I'm enjoying my work."

ফুলেল ফাগুনে

ফাগুনবরণে এবার কীভাবে সাজবেন? এমন চিন্তাভাবনা হয়তো এখন থেকেই মাথায় ঘুরপাক খাচ্ছে। সাজটা এমন হতে হবে, যাতে সবার মধ্যেও অনন্য হয়ে ওঠেন। কিন্তু কীভাবে? প্রতিবার বাসন্তী শাড়ির সঙ্গে কাঠ, কড়ি কিংবা মাটির গয়না পরেন। পরিবর্তনটা এখানে আনতে পারেন। গয়নায় রং-বেরঙের ফুলকে প্রাধান্য দিয়ে এবার সেজেই দেখুন না। সঙ্গে একরঙা বাসন্তী শাড়ি। আর মুখের সাজ হবে একেবারেই ন্যাচারাল। মুশকিল আসান হয়ে গেল। জেনে নিন পয়লা ফাগুনে কেমন ফুলেল গয়না পরতে পারেন।
 
বাজার ঘুরে দেখা গেল, নানা ধরনের ফুলের বাহার। আপনার ব্যক্তিত্ব ও মুখের গড়ন বুঝে ফুল বাছাই করতে হবে। ছোট ধরনের গোলাকৃতি মুখ হলে বড় ধরনের জারবারা, গ্ল্যাডিওলাস ফুল না পরাই ভালো। পরতে চাইলেও ছোট হলুদ গাঁদা বা রক্ত গাদার সঙ্গে কাঠ বেলি কিংবা জুঁই বেলি দিয়ে মালা বানিয়ে পরতে পারেন। বাজুতে ছোট্ট ক্যালেনডুলা, জুঁই বেলি পরলে ভালো লাগবে। ঢাকার শাহবাগের রজনীগন্ধা পুষ্পবিতানের পরিচালক পনু জানান, গোলাপ, জিপসি আর সবুজ পাতা দিয়ে তৈরি গোল চুলের ব্যান্ডের অনেক চাহিদা। পয়লা ফাগুনে ক্যালেনডুলা, রক্ত (চায়নিজ) গাঁদা ও চায়নিজ ফুলের তৈরি গয়না বেশি বিক্রি হয়। হলুদ ক্যালেনডুলা আর সবুজ পাতার চুলের ব্যান্ড বেশি উপযুক্ত। ভালোও লাগবে সবাইকে।
 
সাজে যদি ফুলের গয়নার প্রাধান্য থাকে, তাহলে মেকআপ অবশ্যই ন্যাচারাল হতে হবে। যেহেতু পয়লা ফাগুনে দিনের বেলাতেই ঘোরাঘুরি করা হয়, তাই প্রথমে মুখে, গলায় ও হাতে ভালোভাবে সানস্ক্রিন লোশন বা ক্রিম ব্যবহার করতে হবে। বিউটি পার্লার ফিগারিনার প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা আবিদা আলী জানান, ভারী মেকআপ ফুলের গয়নার সঙ্গে মানানসই নয়। সাজ সাদামাটা না হলে ফুলের স্নিগ্ধতা ফুটে উঠবে না।
 
চুল খুব বড় না হলে চুল খোলা রেখে ফুল দিয়ে তৈরি গোলাকার ব্যান্ড পরতে পারেন। বড় চুলে বেণিতে ফুল পেঁচিয়ে নিতে পারেন। খোঁপা করলে গুঁজে দিতে পারেন জিপসি বা অন্য যেকোনো দুই-তিনটি ফুল। আঙুলে ছোট্ট ফুলের আংটি আর রং-বেরঙের ফুলের বাজুবন্ধ। হালকা করে কমপ্যাক্ট পাউডার ব্যবহার করুন। এরপর চোখে কাজল টেনে নিন। ওয়াটারপ্রুফ মাশকারা আর চাইলে বাদামি ও তামা রঙের আইশ্যাডো ব্যবহার করা যেতে পারে। ঠোঁটে হালকা রঙের লিপস্টিক। সাদা রঙের ফুলের গয়না হলে গাঢ় রঙের লিপস্টিক দিলে ভালো লাগবে। এ ধরনের সাজের সঙ্গে এক রঙের শাড়িই মানানসই। পারফেক্ট টেক্সটাইলের ব্যবস্থাপক জেড এম জাকারিয়া বলেন, ‘হলুদের নানা শেডের শাড়ি এ বছর করা হয়েছে। থানের মতো একরঙা শাড়ি যেমন আছে আবার ব্লকপ্রিন্টও শাড়িও এনেছি। বেশির ভাগই তাঁতের শাড়ি।’
ব্যস, ঠিকমতো প্রস্তুতি নিয়ে নিন। ফাগুনের দিনে নিজেকে আকর্ষণীয় করে তুলুন।

কিছু পরামর্শ
 স্লিভলেস ব্লাউজ পরলে হাত ওয়্যাক্স করে নিতে হবে। তখন হাতে ও গলায় কমপ্যাক্ট পাউডার বুলিয়ে নিন।
 কোমর ভারী হলে ফুলের বিছা না পরাই ভালো।
 হাতের গড়ন মোটা হলে বাজু এড়িয়ে যাওয়া উচিত।
 ফুলের গয়না পরলে আর কোনো গয়না পরা যাবে না।
