ONE BILLION RISING FOR JUSTICE IS ABOUT ENVISIONING JUSTICE FOR ALL SURVIVORS OF GENDER VIOLENCE.
According to the UN Human Rights report, 1 in 3 women on the planet
will be beaten or raped at least once during her lifetime. With the
world population at 7 billion, this adds up to more than ONE BILLION
Women and Girls.
ONE BILLION RISING is a global campaign that started in 2012 as a
call to stop violence against women. It calls out to women and men and
children to RISE together in unity and DEMAND an end to the violence.
IN 2013, ONE BILLION Women and Men shook the Earth and danced to end violence against women.
