বাংলাদেশে নারী নির্যাতন অহরহ ঘটনা হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে

একদিনে বাংলাদেশের অবস্থাঃ   যৌতুক না পেয়ে গৃহবধূকে নির্যাতন: পটুয়াখালীর বাউফলে যৌতুক না পেয়ে নার্গিস বেগম (২৮) নামের এক গৃহবধূকে তাঁর স্বামী ও শ্বশুরবাড়ির লোকজন নির্যাতন করেছে বলে অভিযোগ পাওয়া গেছে। উপজেলার খেজুরবাড়িয়া গ্রামে গত সোমবার এ ঘটনা ঘটে। স্থানীয় ও পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা গেছে, ওই গ্রামের মৃত কাঞ্চন আলী খলিফার ছেলে খলিলুর রহমানের সঙ্গে ২০০১ সালে তাতেরকাঠি গ্রামের মৃত রত্তন আলী মৃধার মেয়ে নার্গিস বেগমের বিয়ে হয়। নার্গিসের বড় ভাই মোসলেম উদ্দিন বিয়ের সময় ভগ্নিপতিকে নগদ টাকা, স্বর্ণালংকার, আসবাবসহ লক্ষাধিক টাকার মালামাল দেন। গত সোমবার নার্গিসের কাছে এক লাখ টাকা যৌতুক দাবি করেন খলিল। কিন্তু টাকা দিতে রাজি না হওয়ায় খলিলসহ কয়েকজন নার্গিসকে মারধর শুরু করেন। একপর্যায়ে তাঁরা হাতুড়ি দিয়ে পিটিয়ে তাঁর শরীরের বিভিন্ন অংশ...

‘Rituraj Bashonto’

Bangladesh is a country of colourful fairs and festivals. In our Bangladesh the Spring season begins after the end of Winter & stays for two months [Falgun and Chaitra]. A colorful festival is held to welcome Bashanto. Attired in reddish-yellow saris with red border and hairs decorated with flowers, young women and girls as well as young men and boys in traditional pajama and punjabi, carrying flowers, took part in the colorful march.
